Go To Ponder 6: it has a comment that says:
Well, I think you made a mistake, “but R can only fly.”
I think you meant “J,” since any robot cannot fly and a jet pack can!
Let’s do this experiment again:
Let’s say you have a robot called R, and a jetpack called J, but unlike WYR6 Part 1, R cannot fly.
R has S1, a sattelite that can launch into space.
Since R is pulled by gravity, R stays still*, but S1 is not. *R can move in any 2d direction.
Here’s how S1 works:
Curveometer: Detects the curve of the earth
Radio: Detects the signal, radio to earth
Here’s how R works:
Sound: Detects the signal, say “The earth is round”
Carry: Carries sound “The earth is round”
Flip: Flip sound “The earth is round”
Show: Show “The earth is round”
Can S1 and eventually, R, prove the earth is round? Yes.
Can J prove the earth is round? No.
So R is better. (Actually any R is better than any J.) 😂
